2010 Wild Rides Classic Car Show Pacific Beach a Big Hit!

August 22nd, 2010

1st Annual “Wild Rides” Classic Car and Hot Rod Show
brings in Great Cars, Crowds and Swimsuit Models

When it comes to great classic car shows by the ocean and
in San Diego beach communities there are only a few to
count on. There is the La Jolla Motor Car Classic Show
at La Jolla Cove
and the Wave Crest Woodie Car Show
in Encinitas on Moonlight Beach
but aside fromn that
there is not much to choose from. There are still some
good shows close to the beach like The Good Guys
Classic Car Show but the difference from being on the
streets or beaches with palm trees and being in a huge
oversized parking lot are big when you are trying to get
coloful pictures.

That is why it was so nice to see “Charger Steve” pick
Garnet Avenue and Pacific Beach for his “Wild Rides”
classic car and hot rod show
. Aside from having a few
specialty cars including “The General Lee”, “The Scooby
Mobile” and the “Back to the Future Car” from the
Michael J. Fox.

In addition that there were also some of the BEST classic
cars, muscle cars and hot rods in San Diego and Southern
California!

To top it all of there was also some beautiful swimsuit and
bikini models who made for a great swimsuit bikini contest

and also award presenters for the winning cars.

Mission Bay San Diego is an amazine place. For anyone who knows the California coast once you head west one block from the ocean you are in streets and suburbs, Very few places offer blocks of parks off the beach area, or in this case 4,000 acres of the most beautiful palm trees, green grass and water spots in Southern California and quite possbly in the world.

What better place to photograph 2 amazing hot rods including a 1951 Orange Mercury Hot Rod and a 1953 2 Door Ford Wagon.

Come with us as we spend a couple hours with a 1951 Ford Mercury and owner Walt Clemens, who by hand built this car over a 28 year period.

The Packard Hawk is one of the rarest of birds. Built by Studebaker/Packard Corporation in South Bend, it was the last production car to carry the Packard Name. It was also the fastest production Packard ever built. Only 588 of these cars were made. It is estimated that about 200 have survived.

Come with us we showcase some great photos and video of this car on the pier in Ocean Beach California.
